Cresset Christian Academy has a richly diverse student population with students from Asia, Latin America, Durham, and surrounding communities. As a way to recognize and honor our diversity, we sponsor an International Night each spring. During this evening, the Cresset community comes together to celebrate tastes of different cultures from around the world.
HEART AND MIND
Cresset Christian Academy students are able to experience a holistic approach in their education experience. School culture and practice are designed to develop each child socially, spiritually, and cognitively through a variety of experiences. Each day in any of Cresset's schools is led by highly-qualified staff, designed to engage each student, and to educate the whole person.
LOWER SCHOOL
Lower school students attend weekly chapels led by the teaching staff and invited guests. They are exposed to different on-campus and off-campus events that include participation in theater, field trips to museums and parks, manner's training, and celebrations around important events. Fifth grade students take an overnight trip designed to highlight components of the History and Humanities curriculum that is taught.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle school students attend weekly chapels led by the Director of Student Ministries and invited guests. They are exposed to character-driven practices and challenges through on-campus and off-campus events that include participation in theater, field trips to national landmarks and museums, and athletics. Eighth grade students take an overnight trip to the North Carolina Coast designed to highlight components of the History and Humanities curriculum that is taught.
TRIP: 8TH GRADE (NORTH CAROLINA COAST)
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
High school students attend weekly chapels led by the Director of Student Ministries and invited guests. They are exposed to character-driven practices and challenges through on-campus and off-campus events that include participation in theater, field trips to national landmarks and museums, and athletics. High school are required to perform community service as part of their graduation requirements. All high school students are invited to unique retreats designed to develop understanding of leadership and character, core values of Cresset. Along with the retreats, students are encourage to recognize areas of need in the Cresset community - and find ways to help with that need through leadership and service. Besides the Leadership Retreat, students are welcomed to attend an annual ski trip to West Virginia. Seniors also take a trip to one of several destinations that include New York, Bermuda, or the North Carolina Coast.
