Letter from Tessa
Hi! My name is Tessa Going and I will be stepping in as Interim Director of Cresset Christian Academy Preschool. I am so excited to get to know you and your children and work together to finish out this school year strong. I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me.
I am originally from Murphy, North Carolina, a small country town in the western tip of the state. I lived there until moving to Greensboro to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I earned my Batchelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on early childhood education. Upon graduation I earned my Birth through Kindergarten teaching licensure and later added K-6th as well. Since graduating in 2010 I have been fortunate to teach in some amazing early childhood programs, work with wonderful fellow teachers, be under great directors and administration, and also teach in the public school setting.
My husband Jonathan and I have been married for almost 10 years and have two children, Elijah, age 6, and Emalyn, age3. They both attend CCA and we could not ask for a better school for them to be a part of. Jonathan is the Student Pastor here at LifeSpring Church as well as the Middle School Bible Instructor for Cresset. This is what brought us to Durham in August of 2019. My husband is originally from Durham and we are enjoying being close to family and putting down roots here.
Education is my passion, especially in the early childhood setting and I am thankful to be back in the school setting. I also enjoy spending time with my family, antiquing, crafting, playing sports, cheering on the Tar Heels, and working alongside my husband in ministry. I am excited to see God continue to work and all He has in store for CCA going forward! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
