Who Is A Candidate For Enrichment?

Academically gifted students in grades 3-8 are eligible for this part of the W.I.N.G.S. Program. Eligibility is determined by grades, test scores and teacher recommendations. Invitations are mailed to qualified students each summer.

What Is The Purpose Of Enrichment?

The purpose of this program is to motivate each child to reach his highest academic potential.

When Do The Classes Meet?

Each small class will have students grouped according to age, with candidates coming from grade three through grade eight. Sessions meet once a week for 80 minutes.

What Are Some Of The Goals For Enrichment?

Develop critical thinking and logical reasoning.
Challenge students in areas of science outside those discussed during regular class time.
Strengthen the concepts of mathematics and increase the ability to do mental math and word problems.
Develop creativity through communication, including written expression, vocabulary building, imagination, skits and cooperative learning.
Processing fee (non refundable) $  40
