Commonly Asked Questions

Commonly Asked Questions and Answers about the Annual Fund

Why pay more than what I already pay in tuition?

Tuition and fees do not cover the annual cost of a Christian education for our students. Most private schools depend on an Annual Fund, income from investments and in-kind gifts to help bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of operating the school.

How does my child benefit from the Annual Fund?

Every child at Cresset Christian Academy benefits from the Annual Fund. Annual giving ensures that Cresset can continue to improve and enhance what it offers its students and families. Your annual contribution will help build the foundation for years to come.

When and how will I be asked to make a contribution?

Every year after school begins, each family receives a letter and brochure explaining the Annual Fund and the goal for that year.

What amount do I have to give?

Gifts of any size are accepted. Every gift makes a difference. The contribution you make demonstrates your support of six efforts on behalf of our students. Your participation along with the total parent participation indicates a broad base of support to the community and foundations and corporations who might consider making contributions to Cresset. It is very important for foundations who contribute to schools to see a high percentage of parent participation. Therefore our goal for participation is always 100%.

Can I make a pledge and pay later?

Yes, you may pledge now and pay later.  All pledges must be paid before the end of June. Payments can be made in installments, semi-annual, quarterly, or monthly. You will be sent reminder notices according the instructions indicated on your pledge form.

How can I give to the Annual Fund?

You can make contributions of cash, stock, property, and other assets. Checks should be made out to Cresset Academy Educational Foundation (CAEF). You may also want to contact your employer about the possibility of participating in a matching gift program.

What is a matching gift?

Make your gift to Cresset Christian Academy go even farther. Many employers will match charitable giving, making your gift worth even more. If your company or firm has a matching gift plan, enclose the form along with your gift.

Is my gift tax deductible?
