The school serves students with average and above-average ability, whose achievement is at grade level or above, and whose needs are within the scope of curriculum offerings. The Elementary School curriculum builds skills, the Middle School reinforces and expands skills and the High School curriculum is college preparatory.

Each applicant is evaluated by the administrators. Consideration is given to the makeup of the student body, the curriculum being offered, and the student's potential to succeed in this environment. Using the WRAT (Wide Range Achievement Test) for students in first through fifth grades and the Brigance Test for K5 applicants, the administrators estimate the likelihood of success at Cresset for each applicant. The student's previous achievement test scores and report cards are also used as tools for evaluation. The success of the student within our program is the primary consideration for enrollment of the applicant.

Below is our wait pool process if a class or Preschool age group is full.

WAIT POOL PROCESS  Parents are asked to submit the online application, supplemental forms, schedule an interview with the Principal, and have a visit day in the classroom (K-12) to be determined if the applicant is a qualified candidate for the wait pool.  When an opening becomes available, all students in the wait pool for that grade or PS group will be considered; additional documentation for admission may be requested.  Once a decision is reached, the parents of the applicant selected will be notified of an offer for acceptance. Applicants are not assigned a number in the wait pool process. Each time an opening becomes available, all candidates for that grade or age group are considered equally. Parents may keep their student in the wait pool for more than one school year by advising the Admissions Office.
