The school serves students with average and above-average ability, whose achievement is at grade level or above, and whose needs are within the scope of curriculum offerings. The Elementary School curriculum builds skills, the Middle School reinforces and expands skills and the High School curriculum is college preparatory.
Each applicant is evaluated by the administrators. Consideration is given to the makeup of the student body, the curriculum being offered, and the student's potential to succeed in this environment. Using the WRAT (Wide Range Achievement Test) for students in first through sixth grades and the Brigance Test for K4 and K5 applicants, the administrators estimate the likelihood of success at Cresset for each applicant. The student's previous achievement test scores and report cards are also used as tools for evaluation. The success of the student within our program is the primary consideration for enrollment of the applicant.
