Production Staff

Director
Ron Zedick
returns for his seventh year as Producer and Director. Mr. Zedick has
an extensive background in educational and professional theater arenas and is
quietly becoming a Cresset theatrical legend. He has directed productions
for Cresset since 2004. His productions include the following: The Sound of
Music, Little Princess,
Man of La Mancha, Peter Pan,
Annie,
and Les Miserables.
Ron is known for his encouragement and attention to detail as students work
on their role development.

Stage Director Stephanie Smith
is a high school English and Theater Arts teacher
at Cresset, graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill where she worked with Playmakers
Repertory Company while earning her degree. She worked with Mr. Zedick last
year as stage director for Les
Miserables and has also directed
The Emperor's New Clothes and
The Near-Sighted Knight and the
Far-Sighted Dragon, two of Cresset's theater arts department productions.
Mrs. Smith enjoys coaching the students one-on-one and brings twenty-two years
professional and community experience in teaching and directing both children
and adults.

Choral and
Orchestral Director Pamela Creel
has been active in Cresset theatrical productions for many years
including Man of La Mancha, Peter Pan, Annie, and Les Miserables.
She also
directs the Concert Choir at Cresset and serves as Worship Leader and Choir
Director at Cresset Baptist Church.

Music Director Rebecca Mattson
is Cresset's
elementary music and piano teacher. She is no
stranger to Cresset theater, having participated
in and performed with no less than six
productions, from
Music Man to
The Sound of Music to
Oklahoma! Having earned degrees in
Elementary Education, Bible, and music, Ms.
Mattson brings her love for all three to this
year's production of
The King and I.
Technical Director
Jeff Creel
has worked with us for the last five years in
our lights and sound as well as set design.
Recently he was promoted to technical director
and his masterpiece was last year's Les
Miserables set which featured a rotating
stage. Jeff will be the technical director
for The King and I with some surprises in
store for everyone.
Art
Department Director Eric Rice is
the Art Teacher at Cresset. He has been involved in the art direction of
every Cresset musical for the last 16 years. Each year he leads a team of
skilled high school art students who design, build, and paint everything the
director can imagine!
